My name is Nikki, I'm 33 and live in Lisburn and have my own transport.I studied a counselling degree before I began my career in health care.I gained my experience in nursing homes where my role consisted of delivering person centred care, assisting with washing, dressing, whilst maintaining respect and dignity. I am now working for an agency in various hospitals as a band 2 nursing auxiliary. I work in different wards, including medical, surgical, mental health and paediatrics. I have gained a wide range of experience in my role such as the ability to conduct clinical observations, blood sugars, the importance of repositioning patients regularly, working with catheters etc. I absolutely love the the work I do and enjoy working with people of all ages disabilities and illnesses. I pride myself on being fully deticated to every task I do, punctuality, honesty and genuineness. I prefer to work night shifts although I am flexible with hours and will work with families to ensure their loved ones are comfortable and safe.
