My name is Natalie, I’m a mum to four wonderful children- my eldest daughter is on the autistic spectrum so I have a vast understanding of ASD. My son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 3 years ago- I have a vast knowledge of diabetes as a result. I spent all my time at home bringing my children up and when they were all in school I was ready to pursue my dream to work working care. I worked in a care home for just over 2 years which has given me so much confidence working in care. I particularly enjoyed working with the elderly with dementia- I have such a passion to help and support- I have completed the dementia bus training which gave me such an insight into how and individual with dementia is seeing/hearing/feeling the world around them. I now work in home care which I love- I get so much happiness being able to support people within their own homes and to keep them as independent as possible. I’m looking to work alongside my current role. Though potential to work solely with the right role.
