I took time to care at home for my grandmother whome I resided with,she had vascular dementia and sadly passed February of this year at the age of 96 ,I sat with her most days ,cooked and cleaned for her ,washed her and kept her clean and tidy, Sat up at night with her as she didn’t sleep to well at night time and liked to wounder round,I loved to chat to her and listen to the random things she would come out ,some days she could be randomly violent and lash out ,she would repeat things constantly and come out with random things,I think I would be very good as a care assistant as I no what to expect as I have been through it with a loved one,I no at the end it’s very difficult to see an elderly lady not been able to eat or drink,and the thought of some elderly with no family to care for them makes me sad the thought of them being on there own makes me sad ,I would find it very rewarding just to make a deference for some one so they are cared for and so they no there not on there own . ,dressed her,cooked for her ,cleaned for her I sat up at night with her as she didn’t sleep well through the night
