I had experience for 1 year caring for an elderly lady from her own home who had vascular dementia. I would prepare her meals and feed her, give her her medication which we had to hide in her pureed food and give to her which worked, note down all her liquid and food intake and how she was throughout the day, 2-1 care when she needed washing, when her pad needed changing, put her in her hoist to bathe her body or allow her to poo! Make sure she’s constantly comfortable and spoken to her often, she was really fond of me and I enjoyed my job so much it was so rewarding but unfortunately she passed away!
