I have been providing care and support since I was 14 years old as my grandma had a stroke and my auntie had learning disabilities. I went on to work in health and social care aged 21 and I worked in this industry for the best part of 2 decades. I have a very good understanding of the issues elderly people face in relation to their mental health, and the stigma and discrimination they often face in institutions. I care with dignity and respect, I promote equality and value differences in people.
