I have 7 years of experience working with elderly people. I worked in the home of the elderly in Portugal. Where I helped with personal care, I also did the housework and cooking. I helped them go to appointments when the family could not. I took them to walk around and do activities that promote their joy and well-being. During my years of experience in Portugal and in the UK I have also worked and learned from people who have psychological illnesses such as dementia and Parkinson's disease. I also worked with people with physical difficulties and poor mobility. I worked with people at the end of life. The work of care for me is more than a job and where I feel I can make a difference in the life of each person and I know that each of them teaches me and helps me to grow as a person.
