I have a background in a professional career, which I gave up in search of more meaningful work. I have retrained as a Yoga teacher and started work helping the elderly. Initially I worked as a visiting carer for a year. Than for four years I worked as an activity-coordinator in nursing homes. My main duties were one to one activities but I also organizing group outings into nature, to concerts, to church. I lead art workshops. In the last two years I have been a companion to a lady who had short memory loss. My duties included helping her with decision making, some personal care, preparing meals, encouragement and companionship to engage with different daily activities, organising and keeping appointments and many more. I am located in Sheffield at the moment but I am willing to consider moving or travelling to other locations. I have a good knowledge of computers and the internet. I am a person who is easy to talk to, am socially mature and discreet. I am not shy of any kind of work. I like cooking and can cook for a variety of tastes. I have a clean driving licence and have my own car. I am looking for work that is meaningful for me and which involves social interaction.
