Have been a registered nurse for 20 yrs now in UK. Worked in nursing and residential care homes for two years in the beginning of my career in Britain . Worked in NHS for 4 years after and went to private hospitals for 9 years joining the MED-SURG, Orthopedics ward . Had 6 months stint taking care of an elderly dementia patient 12 hours per night shift. The role involved NGT then PEG TUBE feed care&management. My patient had long term catheter as well which involved care and changing after 4-6 weeks. The role involved NASOPHARYNGEAL SUCTIONING, care and management due to patients long standing inability to swallow. This involved washing&dressing as well as mobility assistance. After these home care live in experience, I had to share my time, knowledge and skills back into the NHS during COVID times 2020 to 2021. Lastly from 2022 to present I’ve been in the A&E Departments for acute critical care. I am diligent, punctual, have a long standing patience in care of the elderly. My approach involves professionalism,compassion and therapeutic interaction whilst prioritising health, safety&utmost care of patients confidentiality and dignity.
