I have had some great experiences working with the elderly. I have learned so much from them about how they would wish to live their lives and how important independence is to them. Talking to them, not at them, listening to them. I have held a first aid qualification, which is due for renewal. I have an NVQ 2 qualification in social care and have experience with the elderly who have dementia. I am willing to be flexible with my availability If what I can do for them can bring a smile to their faces, help make their lives a little easier, more comfortable, then I, too am happy.
