I have been working as a support worker and carer for 9 years. Working in a nursing home and in private homes. I have worked with children and adults with a wide range of disabilities and illnesses including dementia, end of life care, autism, learning difficulties, serious mental health psychosis and disassociative behaviours, challenging behaviour. Meal preparation, personal care, light housework, companionship, social occasions, appointments are no problem. I am looking for 10 hours per week I can also work alternate weekends. I have used hoists, completed manual handling and first aid courses and completed my care certificate. Very keen on encouraging independence, trying new things, getting out and about.
