I have worked in care work on and off for the past 15 years. I have worked for a care company for 10 years as a home care assistant working with the elderly and also people with varied degrees of dementia, this involved personal care, preparing light meals, housekeeping, bed changing, shopping, errands and company calls. I have also worked with many different families and clients on a private basis providing varied needs. Each client has involved different needs and the ability to adapt to each individual is and has been crucial. I work to a high standard and enjoy helping my clients maintain their independence and provide them with company and assisting with their everyday needs to enhance a better quality of life for them. I am currently trained to NVQ 2 in Social Care and I hold an NVQ in Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
