A trusted relationship with your caregiver is vital for you to feel comfortable with who is delivering your care. I believe and deliver care from my heart, just as I would wish for my loved ones to be treated. So here is a little information about me: My name is Lisa, I am a mum of three and have been in the care sector for 10 years. I began as a volunteer then progressed to a special educational needs 1-1 teaching assistant; this involved me working with children who had learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. Later I moved into caring for the elderly and vulnerable in their home settings, this is where I found my vocation in life. I absolutely love my job and get immense satisfaction from making those I care for feel very well looked after and generally happy. Why am I doing this independently and not working for a care agency? This is because I have worked for agencies and due to the volume of clients they have and the number of carers employed it can mean that care is delivered by many different carers and at varying times. Basically I believe that care should be delivered by a single carer, professionally, to a high standard and at the times requested.
