I am a private carer and have been working in the care industry for 20 years. I started out working for a care company for 8 years providing care in the community, this involved personal care, companionship and cleaning calls. I then had some time off whilst I looked after my children whilst they were young then I went on to do private care for clients in their own homes, I had a variety of clients with different care needs, parkinsons, dementia. Each of these clients I stayed with until sadly they passed away or went into a home. I then decided to go back to community care with a company for the past two years and have throughly enjoyed this. I have now decided I would like to do more private work due to being able to have a more personal touch with people.
