I looked after my mother who had dementia for 6 years until unfortunately it was decided she was no longer safe at home. I did everything from bathing her to feeding and of course our lovely trips out which she enjoyed very much. I spent four days a week at the home until she passed away I learnt many things from caring for her and insured she was always treated with dignity and respect.Although at times she her behaviour could be very challenging.. I miss caring for her and all the other residents , so I took early retirement last year after spending time at home I would love to care for other people and hopefully give them the experience my mother had.
