I got experience as a carer when I took care of my mother in my home after she got a stroke. Mother suffered several strokes and has lost her mobility and there requires help with bathing, toilet (she wears diapers), feeding and movement from one room to the other. At the age of 75, signs of dementia were visible and now at the age of 90 most of her functions are none existent. I have learnt patience, compassion, resilience, emotional and physical strength.
