I looked after my gran for 6 years, attending her hospital appointments, making her meals, dressing her and doing general personal care that needed to be done. I cooked her meals and made sure all her medications were taken. I have recently went back to the nursing homes doing nightshift and working with residents who suffer dementia. I love the job and the satisfaction that it gives helping others achieve their simplest task and encouraging them. I am out going, fun and know how to keep the residents entertained. I can do all relevant paperwork that is needed. Journals, fluid and medication charts. Have a full PVG and moving and handling certificates. I am bubbly and outgoing. I have several year’s experience working in a care environment and I have developed a compassionate approach. I have worked hard to get to know my clients, so I can help them enjoy their interests and hobbies. I became a carer when I looked after my gran. When she died, I wanted to continue helping others.
