I work with older people in the community. Most of the people that I have supported, have had dementia. I have a lot of experience in working with people with dementia, and also a very personal experience, as I lost my own Mum to Alzheimer's when she was 66. I am constantly learning about all types of dementia, and take several courses to extend my knowledge. I am also working towards a counselling diploma, to help assist me in my role as a Support Worker. I don't only have clients with dementia, I work with people with Autism and physical disabilities also. I can offer the following services (but not limited to): personal care; domestic chores; shopping; transportation; assisting at appointments; gardening; meal prep; companionship; emergency contact; dog walking ..... I thoroughly enjoy my role and love making a difference in people's lives. I aim to help people remain independent in their home for as long as possible. I am self employed, fully insured, have an enhanced DBS check (update service), own vehicle and can provide you with references.
