HNC in Social Services (2021) PVG member. •Ability to show empathy and understanding to people of all ages involving spending time talking, listening to those who are in need of re-assurance and support; •Possess the physical and mental stamina required to cope with dependant individuals and those whose behaviour is affected by their age, illness or anxiety; •Works to high ethical standards particularly in relation to the empowerment of individuals, enabling them to maintain dignity and a sense of control over their own lives despite their situation; •Strong medical and health care knowledge including the ability to appropriately refer to other relevant professionals in the interests of progressing and/or improving an individual’s situation.
