Do you have a loved one that lives alone and would benefit from some good company of an evening? My names Katie, I’m a 37 year old with over 7 years experience in care. During my time working in care I noticed that the evening time can be a lonely time for the elderly who live alone so I wanted to create a service that allows me to give company to people who need it most. The visit would be a 12 hour visit (6pm-6am) the idea is to be there in time to prepare a meal that we would sit together and eat then it would be down to the person what they decide they would like to do with their evening, the possibilities are endless and can be an evening of games/puzzles, an evening stroll, to simply sitting in each others company watching tv/listening to music, should they wish to do this. I had a client in the past who, when his wife died, would watch tv of an evening but he missed having someone there to laugh and discuss the tv programme with and loved it when I would sit and watch tv with him. I am experienced in all aspects of care so would happily provide personal care and assist with any other needs.
