My names Kate, I am a kind and patient individual. I have been working in the care sector supporting individuals in their own homes since I was 18. Two years ago I was approached by the family of the lady I cared for with a company as they had recognized I had gone above and beyond for her. I had been asked to continue to look after her privately. In the last two years we have been on an incredible journey where I have provided someone with a new lease of life, from dancing in the living room, garden centre trips, to experiencing her first ever fast food drive-through! I adapt to each individual, and always put their needs first whilst putting a smile on their face! I have certificates from all my training from previous companies. I am knowledgeable in dementia care, end of life care and moving and handling. I have dealt with social services, occupational therapists, doctors, district nurses and families so my range of communication is versatile. I maintain my own care book with written reports of every visit as well as a carefully crafted care plan to the individual alongside risk assessments and hazards. I am currently in my fifth year of university studying a BA HONS degree in criminology and law.
