I adore the elderly, their stories. I have helped elderly family members over the years on a daily basis. The satisfaction in ensuring that they have what they need in order to feel heard, appreciated, cared for & like they have someone on their side is what drives me. Hospital stints for these relatives have then seen me comforting other patients on wards when they've felt vulnerable. I am a very caring & empathetic person and have found a real passion for the elderly. Why should they have to go without at the later stage of life when there really are people out there that want to help & be there for them. I may not have the experience to clean and lift a person by myself but to make sure that a person has some company to ease loneliness, ensure they've eaten, done a few jobs around the house, make them something to drink etc is just, to me, basic level of looking after someone. I'd like to make sure that I can give someone a great experience & make them laugh along the way.
