After caring for traumatised children for 6 years, I knew I wanted to care for the elderly. Caring for young people was extremely challenging, and rewarding at the same time. However, i feel my skills are more appreciated by the elderly. Working with adults and elderly has been extremely rewarding and i am very good at building good relationships with clients. I've always been a happy jolly person who loves to sing coming from a church background singing in a choir and also playing music in church.. I have worked in care with the elderly for 4 and a half years now and built fantastic relationships with my clients, working for a private care company. I visit their homes in mornings helping out of bed, washing, dressing, providing breakfast and medication. Go back and help them get ready for bed and help into bed aswell as providing lunches and tea calls. I also have experience with peg feeding, hoisting, stoma care, dementia and end of life. My clients have nominated me also several times for care of the month award.. I'm also an experienced driver with an ability to navigate anywhere.
