Hi, I'm Jodi and I have worked in the care sector from the age of 17. I have my level 2 diploma in health and social care and have also completed the care certificate. I have completed many mandatory training courses. I started in a care home and once I turned 18, I became a community carer. I worked my way up. I have worked in mental health also. I now work at Grimsby hospital as a Senior Health Care Assistant. I only work bank so I pick the days I work meaning I am flexible. I have worked with a variety of people with many different needs. I’m open to discussion on any needs that your family member has. I really enjoy helping people with dementia and palliative care. I like to meet people and get to know their backgrounds to see if we are compatible. Working as a community carer has given me a lot of experience in the world of care as I've had to use my own initiative a lot. I strongly believe in person centred care and showing full respect. I believe dignity and privacy is very important and understand how difficult it can be for some people to allow someone into their home to help them. I encourage independence as much as possible by encouraging people to do things for themselves when possible.
