I have worked with vulnerable members of the community for over 6 years. I began as a responder for the police, ambulance service and undertook fire prevention work. As part of this initial role i responded to concerns for welfare for GMP along with missing persons. These members of the community often had mental health problems, dementia, physical mobility problems and it was my job to ensure they were safe and to help them when they felt their only option was to call 999. On behalf of NWAS i responded to cardiac arrests, falls in the home, mental health related calls and all other calls where the patient could not be allocated an ambulance at the time, my team bridged that gap. I then spent 5 years as a firefighter working within my community responding to 999 calls. I am a qualified first person on scene responder, proficient in CPR and asessing patients. I have a vast amount of experience in helping people, asessing their needs, signposting and safe guarding issues and well as full training from the police, ambulance service and fire service. I am caring, compassionate and my biggest passion is to help those that need it most.
