Hello, I am Joanna. I am an approachable individual with a very positive outlook in life. I have been trained professionally in care field through agency that I worked for between 2005 and 2007. After leaving the agency, I continued working for private individuals and achieved NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care. I have been able to assist people who were affected by Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Injuries, Spina Bifida, Dementia and various sensory impairments. I am experienced in driving the adapted vehicles and hold full/clean UK driving licence. Duties that I undertook in the past involved driving wheelchair accessible vehicles, assisting with trips to the shops and social outings, hoisting (overhead hoists, hydraulic hoists, standing aids, sliding sheets), delivering personal care (management of incontinence, bowel care), general household chores, cooking, answering the phone calls and liaising with my client's family, friends, medical professions in a manner that I was instructed to, checking the stock of medical items, maintaining my client's privacy and confidentiality at all times and helping in looking after my client's pets.
