I took a job as a live-in carer last year to a lovely 85 year old lady with dementia. At first it was more of a companion role, light support with walking, helping with medication, cooking and cleaning. She became ill and was admitted into hospital where she dipped very quickly. When she was realised sadly she was on end of life care. I quickly had to learn to wash, dress, feed and move her. Sadly, the lady I was careering for passed away which is why I'm looking for a new position.
