My name is Jenna, I am 36 years young. My friends and family would describe me as friendly, approachable, honest and reliable. I’m that person that always wears a smile. I found my love for care when working within special needs in children, specialising in complex behavioural needs- here I spent 6 years learning and building my skill set- I moved to Dorset 1 year ago - I began working with adults who had learning difficulties. I was offered a job, to look after an elderly gentleman with advancing dementia with challenging behaviour, I fit in very well with the existing team and although the gentleman didn’t remember me I was more than happy to re-introduce myself everyday! I had worked with this gentleman full time for over a year and supported every challenge he presented until his recent passing, alongside this client I also currently look after a 98year old lady, also with advancing dementia and challenging behaviour. I am knowledgeable in how to treat people with respect and as individuals, to promote their independence, this is a very important aspect for me while providing care.
