While I may not have formal experience in the care sector, I possess a solid foundation in customer service and support roles where empathy, good work ethics, active listening and attention to detail were critical. These skills, along with my ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly, make me well-suited to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in need. In a personal capacity, I had the opportunity to care for my grandfather during a time when they required assistance with daily living activities due to illness/age that led him to dementia and anxiety. This experience taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and attentiveness in caregiving. I supported them with tasks such as like helping with mobility, giving him meals, providing emotional support and doing his personal hygiene, which sparked my deep interest in pursuing a career in care. I understand the emotional and physical challenges involved in caregiving and am committed to bringing that same level of care and dedication to a professional setting.
