I am a South African living in the UK. I’ve been a carer for the past 15 years and have been working mainly as a live-in carer but also gained experience in care homes and in domiciliary care. I’ve cared for people with various needs including elderly, dementia and the physical disabled. I have experience in using moving & handling equipment including the manual hoist, ceiling hoist, Sara Steady and slide sheets. In July 2020 I’ve completed and gained certificates in my annual update training in Dementia Care, First Aid Awareness, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, Infection Control, Moving and Handling, Safe Administration of Medicines and, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults. I’m considered caring, reliable, respectful, empathetic, kind, friendly and patient. In my spare time I enjoy art (painting in oils, acrylics and watercolours), photography and I have just recently got into horticulture! I love animals so I’m happy to look after your pets too!
