I am a conscientious and deeply compassionate lady of 44 years who loves people and has a will and a calling to help others and most especially those who are vulnerable and may feel afraid and unable to cope. I value building trusting realtionships and working companionships with the people I support, at all times I like to remember that 'one day this could be me' and how would I like to be treated. Having worked for over 11 years in a residential home catering for adults with Learning Disabilities, I am very familiar with the demands of the job and I am always prepared for the unexpected! It gives me great job satisfaction to be part of enhancing a person's sense of worth and well-being. For the past 5 years I have held a live-in position and established a very Person Centred Approach for a special lady who suffers with Dementia, whilst promoting a strong Duty of Care and Safeguarding position within her home environment. I fully appreciate the trust involved in supporting a vulnerable person, I'm aware of the cultural considerations and the importance of establishing personal choices at all times. I hope to help my clients maintian a sense of dignity, pride and self esteem at this very difficult time in a their life.
