I am qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in health and social care. Able to Support individuals having worked with elderly, disabled patients and those with special needs including dementia and mental health. I am competant in patient handling, aware of food hygiene procedures, first aid qualified and received training in how to identify and report cases of neglect and abuse. I am trained to record and administer medicines to correct dosage - checking for side effects. I have a good knowledge of infection control measures. I am also trained in fire prevention, emergency provisions and risk assessments. Qualified to a level 1 certificate in adult literacy although my competance in written and spoken English is much improved.
