I'm a Companion/PA, befriending and assisting elderly clients for over the past 10yrs. In their local community. My priority is quality time, doing what they want to do. Helping those who have dementia, & or have mobility issues, care in their home:- includes activities to build confidence & conversation, assisting personal care if & when required, to prepare a cooked meal ( & eat it!) Also I provide companionship by stimulating them to socialize outside, activity clubs/walks/shopping, a hobby as this helps if they feel isolated & lonely, I do my best to be their friend & encourage to live life to the full and have fun. I find places to suit their interests, i.e...clubs, gardens, theatre & walks. Assist & support them in their home, encouraging participation in some small way, to keep them active & motivated, or we just sit & chat over a cuppa; whatever suits. It´s seeing them smile & laugh (that makes it for me), just one small moment that costs nothing but means the world to them, is so fulfilling. I am DBBS checked & Insured and have a reliable car. I usually visit between 1-2hours, & only have a small clientele group. Unfortunately I am only available within 10 miles of Galleywood Chelmsford. Regards
