I was a Community Care worker for 1 Year, using my own vehicle to travel, following a pre planned rota visiting the homes of clients and undertaking specific tasks such as: personal care in the form of assisting them to get dressed, washed or put to bed. Also, the administration of medicines, cooking, cleaning and ensuring that measures for their comfort and safety are being adhered to at all times. In this job I was required to use my mobile phone to log into a company app where we can find notes on all clients which specify their individual needs and their backgrounds, and also has a checklist for tasks that need to be competed upon your visit and also to write up any notes that may need adding to the clients profile. I have a full DBS and Care Certificate. I left in July 2024, not because I didn’t enjoy. I had a very special bond with all my clients. My Dad had been unwell for sometime and then sadly passed away in August 2024. It has been a very difficult time for myself and my family, but my Dad would want me to get back to what I love. I do feel it’s now time as I do miss it.
