Hello! I’m Georgia, I’m 24 years old and currently living in the Somerset area. I am a fully qualified social worker who has worked in the area with both children and adults over the past 3 years. I have recently given birth to my son who is now 3 months old and so currently not working due to looking after my son for the next year. I absolutely love being a parent and care work. I have experience as a door to door carer and have worked as a social worker in adult care. My previous experience in the care sector and my own personal experiences of supporting older family members has led me to have an interest in working with disabled or older adults in my Social Work career. I have always been an empathetic person and have always wanted to advocate for those who may be unable to voice their views. The previous job roles I have carried out have allowed me to fulfil this with a mixture of experience with supporting older adults, disabled adults and often marginalised young people. I would describe myself as a determined, helpful and hard-working person as shown in my volunteering, placements, employments and my 2:1 degree classification. Experience with personal care, meal prep, toilet needs, movement/ hoisting.
