I have extensive experience in caring for people with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's, the elderly and housebound, socially isolated and those in care homes. I am extremely patient, sociable, considerate and responsible. I am passionate about what I do because I have seen too many people endure a shockingly low quality of life simply because they are unable to get out on their own or do much for themselves. I can offer support of a high level including intelligent conversation, walks out either in a wheelchair or help with walking stick or frame, help with administration, personal care, reading, games, crosswords, driving to and from hospital or other appointments and anything else to improve the quality of life for those who need it most. I am also a qualified yoga teacher. I have given yoga classes in care homes and developed a simple regime for carers and staff at homes to introduce to their seated residents. This particular work was done on a voluntary basis in Barnet. I hold a clean driving license and have been recently CRB checked. I have some space on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and can sometimes be available for urgent, last minute and temporary work.
