I have previously worked in both nursing homes for the elderly and caring for adults in their own homes, providing personal and social care. Usual duties have included bathing and personal care, assisting with meals, shopping and just as important - "being a friend that will be there for that person to listen to". Most people I cared for are alone and it is lovely when you visit and can put a smile on their face. I would love to work as a “Companion” for anyone who is feeling alone or lonely and seeks company!
