I have been a carer since January 2022, undergoing full residential training. In this time I gained experience working with MND, learning disabilities, Parkinsons and late-stage dementia, among others. I have uniformly good references, both privately and via the Curam platform. In May 2022 my friend had a stroke, and I was invited by her family to move in and help her to recover. I lived with her as a carer and a friend until earlier this month (June 2023) when she very sadly passed away. I am mainly looking to offer long-term, live-in and/or sleeping night care, as well as travel companionship. I would describe myself as independent, conscientious and organised. Experience has shown that I cannot do my best work in a disorganised environment. If your home environment is untidy then this is something I can help you address. I enjoy deep cleaning and would be happy to help with this as part of my service. When providing live-in assistance I prefer to have a break every day, ideally after lunchtime, but I can be flexible about this when needed. I can travel anywhere in the country by car. I have a full driving licence (manual and automatic) and am insured to take clients in my car.
