I studied health and social care at school at sixth form and have gained an nvq level 3 as well as completing a care certificate during my career. I have worked in the care service for 9 years now, first as an agency carer thrown in the deep end and learning skills within residential and nursing homes as well as with those who have additional needs. The following 8 years I have been based in one amazing care home, enhancing those skills and promoting quality and compassionate care for the elderly with physical and mental health conditions. I am trained in administering medication and have been in a senior carer role for the last 3 years. Throughout this time I have built confidence, enhanced my communication skills and have made incredible relationships with this wi have supported. I love getting to know people and being able to provide the best, person tailored care that I can for each individual.
