I have worked with in care home with the elderly who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Working strongly to be their comfort and to keep them as happy and safe as we possibly can. I also worked with in the service users homes , providing personal care (showering , dressing , medications ) meal preparation, home cleaning and a friendly face for those to chat to and be a comfort. Care is not just making sure someone is fit well and physically looked after, it is making sure they are emotionally looked after!! And always making clear you’re there to help THEM and keep their dignity and pride in tact. I have a heart of gold when it comes to the elderly. I am currently studying a BA honours degree in health and social care.
