In the past 6 months to a year, I have done some caring and companionship for a family friend, as a somewhat unregistered carer. This is mostly one off evenings, but I have also done some sleeping in when the family goes on holiday. The gentleman I look after has Parkinson's, among other medical conditions. As well as this, I have a mild knowledge of dementia from a family point of view, including its effects and issues surrounding it. I have also studied Health and Social care for the past two years, in which i have learnt about many different topics and circumstances. I have found the course very fascinating and have a passion to care and effect peoples lives, despite any conditions, as fulfilling and enjoyable as possible.
