I have worked in a residential care home for two years providing care for individuals with dementia/mobility difficulty/different care needs. Due to working in the care home I have become familiar with different disability’s and am able to provide care to all different individuals. I help with dressing, washing, feeding, toilet needs and any other personal cares that an individual requires. I communicate with each individual and make them as comfortable and happy as I can. I am able to deal with difficult individuals with empathy and reassurance and will cater to their needs. I am able to make meals to their liking and interact accordingly. I love been able to help and do it happily , I am able to adapt to a person’s preferences and my priority is that they are happy and cared for. I always practise compassion and understanding as I know how important this is to the wellbeing of my patients. I have excellent interpersonal skills and am extremely patient and resilient these skills have helped me tremendously with the emotional aspects of the job.
