In my recent role as Health Care Assistant / Support worker with agencies, I get posted to care homes where I provide general and personal care for the elderly and individuals in need of care. I also support clients in their own homes to be independent and healthy; assisting and reassuring them. I assist with other tasks to bring users comfort when needed and spend time with them getting to know. In my previous roles, I have supported children with special needs in their day to day activities encouraged them patiently in their learning and taken charge of personal care of students with limited mobility who had more unique needs; a role I wouldn’t have succeeded in but for my exceptional attributes of patience, attention, care and empathy; skills which I have demonstrated and I understand are very vital to the role of Care Assistant despite the different peculiar environments. Given my genuine concern in caring for other people coupled with my experience in caring for students (Primary and secondary, I feel I am in a great position to make significant contributions in any organization I work with as an Health Care Assistant.
