Although no professional experience to speak of, I helped and cared for my elderly parents and relatives. Cooking meals, doing housework, sorting out bills and correspondence, driving them to shopping and also doing their shopping and collecting prescriptions, driving to doctors and hospital appointments and spending time with them. Helping to do crossword puzzles and quizzes, show how to use the computer and mobile telephone, watching quiz shows on TV, playing cards and dominoes and just chatting and keeping them company. I currently work as a cook in a children's nursery, cooking all meals from fresh, taking into account dietary requirements and also cleaning the kitchen to very high standards in line with Environmental Health requirements. I also hold Basic DBS and Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificates.
