I am writing to apply for the Health Care Assistant position with you that I saw advertised on your website. I have extensive experience working with palliative care, respite care, nursing care and domiciliary care patients which I believe makes me the right fit for this role. I have spent the past 3 years working in care homes for elderly residents and I have built up a solid bank of skills which I believe would allow me to make a significant contribution to your organization. My interest in working in health and social care has evolved through previous roles and most recently at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in the Falkland Islands where worked in a team of senior carers, nurses, occupational therapists, mental health team and senior management providing personalized care to vulnerable adults requiring around the clock 24-hour care, respites, others with mental health and learning difficulties. I have worked with service users with a variety of conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, physical impairments, diabetes and Parkinson’s disease just to name a few. I believe through well-structured care, patients can lead a dignified and fulfilling life.
