As a care home worker, I'm committed to providing my patients with the best care possible. I love to make people laugh and have a knack for putting my patients at ease. I always practise compassion and understanding as I know how important this is to the wellbeing of my patients. I have excellent interpersonal skills and am extremely patient and resilient – these skills have helped me tremendously with the emotional aspects of the job. In addition, I am proficient in administering medications and am well-versed in safety protocols and guidelines. When I work with a new client, I spend my first few days talking and getting to know them. Finding out what's important to them is a great way to motivate them. I also learn their routines, habits, and preferences.
