I have worked for the NHS along side the district nurse team, visiting the elderly in their home to change dressings, clean wounds, personal care, support palliative care patients and there relatives, keeping accurate records. I then worked for a home care agency for 18 mths assisting with personal care, cooking, shopping, general house keeping, giving prescribed medication, and offering support and companionship. I have enjoyed the role immensely and seeing the difference I can make to these peoples lives.
