Throughout my career, I have provided support to individuals in a whole host of environments, this has included older adults living within their own homes. I am fully registered with the SSSC working within the codes of practice and I am responsible for keeping the people in my care safe, I do this by delivering high quality support. Some of the people that I have provided support to have debilitating illnesses such as dementia and Alzheimer’s. These illnesses impact heavily on the individuals and their families, and it is my role to care and support each person to achieve the best for them and their future by supporting and helping them to do the things that mean the most to them. Throughout my career in Social Care, I have had many experiences, these experiences have included supporting and advocating for a vast range of individuals, including older adult's. I have worked directly with individuals and their families to provide the best quality care and support they require to maximise their levels of independence while aiding everyone to achieve the goals set out within their care and support plans.
