Since a very young age all I have thought about is caring for others. It makes me feel better on myself knowing that people are safe and comfortable, I have cared for my nan who has dementia & unable to walk for over 4 years since I was 14. I have also worked as a care assistant for over a year providing one to one personal care. This included building a professional relationship with my residents for them to be able to feel comfortable around me and feel like they can trust me. I was supporting people with social and physical activities as well as eating and drinking, dispensing medicines, booking and accompanying my residents at appointments, monitoring individuals conditions by taking their temperature, pulse, respiration and weight and balance. Preparation of daily meals and support with feeding and hydration, maintaining records and recording any changes, building trusty relationships with a wide variety of patients, house hold tasks such as cleaning. changing dressings & morning and night duties. I am also CPR , first aid hoist trained. I am very respectful and equal, I’m very reliable and trust worthy whilst also being a great listener.
