Hello, I’m Arta and very pleased to meet you! I have over 15 years of experience in care, I have worked with elderly people with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Also, I have a great deal of experience in working with adults with special needs such as autism, learning disabilities, brain injury and end-of-life care. As carer, in addition to the everyday hygiene and other practical needs of my client, I provide emotional support. I believe that caring involves excellent communication skills and that emotional support is just as vital as practical. I have on many occasions used my knowledge of various conditions to assist families with their understanding of these conditions and how best to help their family member. I believe that my job as a carer is a vital role in society. I am dedicated to helping people in need and the job satisfaction is immense when I know I have made a difference in someone’s life. I take pride in doing my job well and am always prepared to learn new ways of working with individuals.
