I am a retired of 30 years in forensic psychiatry in the NHS 30 years service in forensic psychiatry as a nursing assistant . worked within forensic psychiatry within a multi disciplinary team across many areas supported people with mental health difficulties /learning disabilities with both men and women Helped to rehabilitate people into the community to live independently as possible . Worked alongside other professionals to produce activity programmes Knowledge pf psychology,counselling skills,active listening and none judgemental approach. Update patients records and handover information to colleagues at the end of a shift , Worked with doctors and other healthcare professionals to decide what care to give . Gave advise to patients and their relatives on a wide range of issues and matters . Kind ,caring and patient and able to remain calm in stressful situations . Union rep for 10 years ,supporting and helping colleagues with any issues that arose . Completed all relevant training and kept up to date on all policies and procedures . Adhered to strict levels of hygiene ,health and safety at all times . Supported patients in advocacy groups 30 years experience gained within all aspects of care
